Dementium:
The Ward is announced for Japanese release (June 26) in Japan's number
one gaming magazine, Famitsu. Incidentally, Dementium: The Ward was listed
first out of 20 "new games" featured, and was also treated to
the only double-wide spot whereas every other game had half the space
devoted to it - that's neat! Thanks Famitsu. |

MOON ANNOUNCED FOR THE NINTENDO DS 03-14-08 Mastiff, a worldwide publisher of videogames and Renegade Kid, developer of innovative interactive software, today announced the title codenamed Project M has been officially named Moon after the cold and barren hunk of rock orbiting earth. Developed by Renegade Kid, Moon is a sci-fi, action-adventure title for Nintendo DS. Moon places gamers on the cold lunar surface in the year 2058. Researchers are shocked to find a sealed, alien hatch during construction of a new lunar base, but its a shock that soon pales in comparison to what they find beyond the hatch. Moon is dark, twisted, heart pounding, frequently violent and always disturbing. Pretty much what youd expect when you take madmen like Renegade Kid, jack their technology up to the next level, and turn them loose, said Bill Swartz, Head Woof of Mastiff. Moon demonstrates the impressive power
of Nintendo DS, while appealing to a crowd thats looking for a first-person
action-adventure title that delivers a menacing story and really puts
your gaming skills to the test, said Jools Watsham, Owner and Creative
Director at Renegade Kid. Building upon our achievements with Dementium:
The Ward, Renegade Kid is utilizing its sophisticated 3D engine, dubbed
the Renegade Engine, to continue pushing the limits of Nintendo
DS and focus on producing high quality content. |

WHERE'S THE LOVE? 11-01-07 I'd like to take this opportunity to state some facts, and hopefully squash some misconceptions, about the recent press release announcing our new DS title "Project M" with the good folks at Mastiff. I have read comments on other websites that suggest some people believe the announcement of our next title implies that we do not want to work with Gamecock again. This could not be further from the truth. Our relationship with Gamecock is amazing. Working with the talented people at Gamecock has been an extremely positive experience, and one that both Gregg and I would love to repeat many, many more times. Renegade Kid and Gamecock have been in talks regarding future game development since the day Dementium: The Ward was submitted to Nintendo (literally). The game(s) that Gamecock and Renegade Kid are discussing are more long term. Therefore, public announcement of them would not be for some time. We are an independent developer whose goal is to develop great games. Our next game happens to be with Mastiff. That does not mean that our following game(s) won't be with Gamecock. We love Gamecock. We love games. Spread the word. ~~~ |

RENEGADE KID SIGNS WITH GAMECOCK MEDIA GROUP Cockpit, Austin, Texas June 1, 2007 Renegade Kid today announced that they will be working with Gamecock Media Group to launch their first title Dementium: The Ward for the Nintendo DS. Dementium: The Ward combines action-adventure, first-person shooter and survival horror into one nightmarish experience. Pushing the limits of the Nintendo DS with full 3D visuals, this next generation title will set the bar for mature handheld games. Renegade Kid is looking to move above and beyond what most games are attempting on the DS, and with Gamecock weve found a publisher who is supportive, developer friendly, and willing to give us the freedom to create the game we want, said Jools Watsham, Owner and Creative Director of Renegade Kid. Dementium showcases what a powerful piece of hardware the DS is, while drawing in a mature crowd thats looking for a title they can really sink their teeth into. From the first meeting, Renegade Kid have proven themselves to be innovative, unafraid to push the norms of gaming and incredibly talented all of which we think are the key characteristics of a great developer, said Harry Miller, Head of Development of Gamecock Media Group. Its great when you can sit down with a developer who shares the same vision of where games should be going in creating new and exciting titles to offer an alternative to the bland remakes and sequels flooding stores today. Dementium:
The Ward tells the tale of a man who awakens to find himself alone in
a mysterious, derelict hospital that is frozen in time. Confronted by
the deadly, grotesque surgical experiments that wander the halls, a series
of challenging puzzles and a cast of peculiar characters, he must face
his deepest fears, unlock the mysteries of the hospital, and escape with
his life. A completely new experience on the Nintendo DS, Dementium promises
to creep you out with gory visuals and bone-chilling audio that brings
the world screaming to life. |
